Serpentine rubber drive belt also called ribbed belt or poly v belt, it is made up of several tiny v belts, it's wide and thin. It has high transmission power and flexibility. It's also suitable for multi-wheel transmission system.

Poly v belt wear analysis
1. Ribs cracked
Appearance: Cracks
Cause
Belt tension too low or too high.
Ultra high working temperature.
Belt lifetime exceeded.
Solutions
Replace with a WEIBO ribbed belt and correct the tensile strength.
Check whether the fan is working properly,and replace belt after all components are tightened.
2.Broken belt
Appearance: Snapped
Cause
Tension strength is extremely too high
A large foreign object between the belt and pulley can cut into the belt and break the tensile cords.
Tensile break may occur but go unnoticed when the belt is forced or pried on during installation.
Other possible causes may be severe shock loads or a blocked pulley and/or accessory.
Solutions
Correct the tensile strength,replace belt after check the pulley parallel.
Take out the foreign parts and replace belt after correct the position of each part in this system
3. Rib separation
Appearance: Ribs separate from the belt base.
Cause
Foreign objects (small stones)cutting the belt.
The pulley not parallel,belt running out of the flange.
Pulley ribs' height incorrect.
Solution
Remove the foreign objects and replace the pulley and belt.
Calibrate the parallelism of pulley.
Replace belt and select qualified pulley.
